Pilar Poal, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist with a clinical focus on adjustment to medical illness and disability, marital therapy and premarital counseling, depression and health psychology. Additional areas of interest include: women’s issues, stress and anger management.

Dr. Poal received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed her internship at Temple University Hospital. Her clinical experience includes working as a staff psychologist at Moss Rehabilitation Hospital, as a consultant to several medical centers in the area and being in private practice since 1994.

Dr. Poal is a member of the American Psychological Association and of the Philadelphia Society of Clinical Psychologists. She is a PAIRS instructor and a certified PREPARE/ENRICH counselor. Dr. Poal is fluent in Spanish.
