Dr. Atkins provides the following services:

Dr. Atkins utilizes a flexible, integrated approach combining psychodynamic
principles and cognitive-behavioral strategies to foster self-understanding,
personal growth and problem-solving. With client permission, she readily
collaborates with school personnel and health care professionals to provide
comprehensive treatment. She lectures and provides workshops to school
and community groups on issues related to children and mental health.
She offers support to parents of toddlers, elementary school-age children
and teens related to behavioral problems and developmental concerns.
Daytime and evening hours are available.

Dr. Atkins is not on any insurance panels, but will provide a receipt
containing all necessary information so clients may receive direct reimbursement
from their insurance companies.
Dr. Atkins is a member the American Psychological Association, Pennsylvania
Psychological Association, Pennsylvania Society for Clinical Psychologists
and Specialists of Schools.
Dr. Atkins received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from George Washington
University in 1993 and her B.S. in Psychology from Tufts University in
1987. Prior to maintaining a full-time private practice, she was a consulting
psychologist at the Kimberton-Waldorf School, a staff psychologist at
the Devereux Day School, and taught a seminar on group therapy for interns
in the doctoral program at Devereux.
